About the Role

As a Senior Exchange & Messaging Engineer, you will manage and optimize critical messaging platforms for clients in the healthcare and system house sectors. You will work with modern Exchange and hybrid infrastructures, lead migration and optimization projects, and ensure secure, highly available communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, and optimize Microsoft Exchange Server environments (2016/2019/SE).
• Plan, implement, and manage Exchange hybrid scenarios with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Oversee the operation and further development of Exchange Database Availability Groups (DAG).
• Support migrations from Exchange On-Premises to Microsoft 365 and between different Exchange versions.
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of messaging infrastructures and manage backup and recovery solutions for Exchange environments.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues, and manage mail flow, SMTP routing, and transport rules.
• Continuously develop spam, malware, and email security solutions.
• Support clients in evolving their Exchange and messaging landscapes and collaborate closely with internal teams.

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019/SE), Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Exchange hybrid scenarios and Database Availability Groups (DAG).
• Very good knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell and automation.
• Experience with mail flow, SMTP routing, and backup and recovery solutions for Exchange.
• Experience in operating spam, malware, and email security solutions.
• Structured approach to work and high customer and service orientation.
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
