About the Role
This entry-level, on-site role supports the daily operation, maintenance, and administration of a complex server and Microsoft 365 environment serving over 80 locations and 1,600 users.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Microsoft Windows server infrastructure and Microsoft 365 environment
- Administer Active Directory user accounts, security groups, organizational units, and Group Policy
- Perform routine server maintenance and hypervisor support
- Manage and prioritize short-term and long-term projects
- Execute software updates and server patch management
- Support and maintain IS disaster recovery technologies
- Collaborate with Senior Systems Administrator to remediate vulnerabilities and secure systems
- Monitor data backup solutions and verify restore functionality
- Serve as point of escalation for Level II technical support requests
- Manage internal and external DNS records
- Maintain and update technical server documentation
- Mentor IS Support Specialists through collaborative troubleshooting
- Adhere to change control processes and procedures
- Provide supplemental network and telecommunications support as needed
- Maintain professional and collaborative demeanor with staff
- Create and submit monthly reports on key initiatives and server trends
- Comply with mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2 years of IT support experience, or 4 years of IT support experience
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and remote work
- After-hours on-call availability
- Travel required with valid NYS driver’s license and dependable vehicle
