About the Role
The County Manager will assist in the delivery of Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP) services to all county participants. Duties include management and/or administration of program specific systems, policies, and procedures, and supervision of Day Opportunities Specialists (DOS). The role requires being a positive role model, a diligent record keeper, offering constructive guidance, and supporting agency trainings. Effective communication is essential due to frequent interaction with families and community visibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director for Day Services Operations, the Assistant Director of Day Community Opportunities Program and the county Day Habilitation Coordinator in the delivery of the Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP) services.
- Manage and/or administer all program specific systems, policies and procedures.
- Supervise Day Opportunities Specialists (DOS).
- Be a positive role model for individuals supported and co-workers.
- Be a diligent and accurate record keeper.
- Offer constructive guidance as needed.
- Attend and support all agency and department trainings.
- Be an effective communicator.
Requirements
- HS diploma/GED
- 4 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience.
- Valid NYS Driver’s license.
