About the Role
The Logistics Porter provides operational support to the logistics team, manages inventory records, monitors deliveries, and maintains accurate documentation. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound and outbound deliveries, track consignments, and investigate any delivery discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
- Maintain accurate logistics, inventory and transportation records, updating logistics management, reviewing purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Support inventory management and stock control activities, including stock counts, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements and relevant regulations, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse or a similar support role.
- Knowledge of inventory control and transportation processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to build effective working relationships with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders.
