About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, personable, and reliable Client Accountant/Client Administrator to join and support our accounts department. The role requires a proactive and organized individual capable of completing tasks efficiently and accurately, even under pressure, while maintaining excellent client care.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounts procedures including collecting and processing rents and payments to landlords and contractors.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations.
- Monitor rent arrears, chase payments to strict deadlines, and provide detailed weekly reports to the branch office.
- Keep landlords updated and advise on possession procedures for Section 8 and Section 21 notices.
- Monitor rent arrears with Rent Warranty and report to the warranty department within strict deadlines.
- Receive and process purchase ledger invoices for company accounts, liaise with head office, and handle supplier queries.
- Perform general office administration, including handling telephone inquiries and managing multiple Outlook inboxes.
- Address landlord statement queries and landlord council tax accounts.
- Liaise with and advise the Management Department on contractor queries.
- Provide annual statements to landlords.
- Provide tenant references at the end of a tenancy.
- Maintain notes on the software system.
- Process daily and end-of-month figures by tight deadlines and update various Excel sheets.
- Handle general day-to-day office duties.
- Process move-in statements.
- Process deposit return payments.
- Register and de-register deposits on the government website.
- Perform quarterly deposit reconciliations.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills.
