About the Role

Orange Business Digital Services Netherlands is seeking a dynamic Data Engineer to join their Data Intelligence team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and innovative data structures for clients, leveraging the latest cloud technologies to drive digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Apply a data-driven, analytical approach to support business case development.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to design and implement data processing systems and pipelines.
• Deliver valuable insights while ensuring data quality.
• Contribute to the design and modeling of Data Warehouse solutions.
• Perform thorough data analysis and integrate data sources to ensure consistency.
• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• Apply the latest data engineering trends and developments to projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in IT, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer.
• Expertise in data processing, storage, transformation, and pipeline development.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical issues into effective data structures.
• Experience with database design and structuring.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Azure and Databricks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
