About the Role
SYSTRA is seeking a Commercial / PMO leader to provide commercial assurance for a client's capital program. This role involves managing key Line of Defence duties to mitigate cost and program risk and opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Systra Commercial (Client Side) team in managing time, cost, and quality from planning through project close-out.
- Provide proactive commercial leadership and ensure timely reporting and contract deliverables.
- Minimize client risk and maximize client value through leadership within the team.
- Ensure compliance with all client processes and Line of Defence protocols.
- Collaborate with other LoD to validate compliance and effectiveness.
- Coach and mentor junior members of the Systra Commercial Team.
- Align and test EVM and EAC.
- Conduct bilateral risk assessments against funding envelopes.
- Manage change control and TRA erosion.
- Identify and track defects.
- Perform supply chain due diligence, including financial and performance securities.
- Prepare and manage client commercial correspondence and contractual notices.
- Identify emerging risks, report contractual claims, and support dispute resolution.
- Demonstrate behaviors aligned with SYSTRA’s framework, fostering excellence, collaboration, respect, and empowerment.
- Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with the client-side organization.
- Oversee the preparation of commercial assurance for the client's monthly billing cycle.
- Oversee the review of client's supply chain applications for payments and certification recommendations.
- Lead the client supply chain mobilization process.
- Ensure client budget envelopes are maintained and variances are reported transparently, including mitigating actions.
Requirements
- Experience in high value civil engineering, building, M&E, rail or general construction and/or infrastructure projects (preferably Client-side).
- Experience in management and reporting of client expectations and deliverables.
- Minimum of 7 years NEC experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing change control and associated processes.
- Specific expertise and experience of post-contract commercial services including reporting, payment, variations, claims management, and final account settlement.
