About the Role
The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology is dedicated to connecting science and practice in industrial production, offering application-oriented system solutions across the entire spectrum of industrial tasks. In the field of Ultra- and High-Precision Technology, we focus on the manufacturing of smallest geometries and micrometer-accurate surface structures. We research aspects of microstructuring, such as implants for antibacterial strategies, and the development of novel components and technologies to improve process flows, as well as innovations in the analysis of manufacturing processes and their results. Space technology is a growing focus: we develop and manufacture high-precision components for electric space propulsion systems such as Hall effect and ion thrusters and integrate them into our own test facilities.

- Perform experimental tests on test facilities
- Evaluate and document experimental results
