About the Role

The Therapeutic After School Program (TASP) Case Worker provides daily program structure and routine for at-risk youth through scheduling, supervising, and monitoring. The case worker fosters an environment of strength-based, family-centered practice while working with at-risk youth, acting as a team leader and modeling exceptional childcare skills to provide a sound and safe environment for children, family, and staff.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with children and families that are responsive to their needs and align with the established treatment plan.
Promote the growth of the parent-child relationship according to the treatment plan and agency philosophy.
Provide comprehensive casework interventions, including case planning and regular contact with children and families.
Offer individual, family, and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention.
Ensure compliance with agency, State, Federal, and Accreditation standards, striving to exceed them.
Continuously evaluate the strengths and needs of children and families to inform intervention planning.
Promote and guide the development of adaptive coping skills, socialization skills, parenting skills, and independent living skills.
Utilize family-centered practice approaches in service delivery and case planning.
Initiate, develop, and implement innovative best practices consistent with current trends and research.
Continuously monitor, evaluate, and enhance clinical programming.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time, meeting all standards.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all client record components, including progress notes, treatment planning, conferences, and case-specific materials.
Role model high-performing team member standards daily.
Maintain collaborative relationships and advocate on behalf of clients with DSS, community agencies, schools, program staff, and other service providers.
Participate consistently in inter- and intra-departmental teamwork and cross-program projects as appropriate.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree required.
3-5 years of related experience preferred.
Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment preferred.
