About the Role
The Hospital Concierge serves as the primary point of contact for clients at Vetco Total Care hospitals, ensuring an exceptional experience for both pets and pet parents while supporting efficient hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route practice phone calls appropriately.
- Manage the hospital appointment calendar, including scheduling and reviewing online bookings.
- Greet clients and patients by name and notify technical staff upon arrival.
- Monitor wait times and provide accommodations during busy periods or emergencies.
- Participate in training new staff members and disseminating knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked waiting area, including using disinfectants for potential contagious diseases.
- Confirm appointments via client's preferred communication method and adjust as necessary.
- Provide backup support to technical staff for room loading and patient discharge.
- Formulate strategies to balance client satisfaction with medical staff efficiency.
- Communicate with clients regarding wait times and unforeseen circumstances.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice or customer-facing role.
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 pounds, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during emotional or stressful situations.
