About the Role
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) Cardiology or Vascular to join a dynamic multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, NY. This role offers the chance to provide high-quality cardiac care in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including performing histories and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension, and peripheral arterial disease.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including ECGs, echocardiograms, and vascular studies.
- Perform specialty-specific procedures like wound debridement, suture removal, cardioversion assistance, and vascular access management.
- Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based treatment plans, including medication prescription and management.
- Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and self-management strategies.
- Ensure smooth transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
- Document patient encounters and manage long-term follow-up care.
- Monitor treatment efficacy, manage complications, and adjust care plans as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Active NY State Nurse Practitioner License.
- Board Certification required.
- Experience in Vascular surgery, vascular medicine, cardiology, or general surgery.
- Experience as an RN in Vascular services will be considered.
- Proficiency in EHR systems.
- Proficiency in cardiac diagnostics (e.g., EKG, stress tests) and treatment protocols.
