About the Role

Liberis is building the embedded finance platform that lets partners around the world offer innovative funding products to their small business customers. We are a growth-stage fintech focused on building a global Product, Data & Engineering team that thrives on autonomy, ownership, and impact. Our teams solve real-world problems for small businesses, shaping products that unlock opportunity at scale. Engineering is undergoing an AI-first transformation, empowering teams to make decisions, move fast, and take full responsibility for solutions. You will join a team where curiosity is encouraged and collaboration across Product, Data, Delivery, and Engineering is the norm. You will join Liberis' Salesforce Engineering practice, which owns and evolves the Salesforce platform for acquiring, onboarding, and supporting merchants and partners. You will build and run your own pod of up to four people, consisting of developers and admins. This role sits within the wider Technology function and works closely with product teams and business functions to turn business needs into reliable Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction and quality of your team's part of the Salesforce org, including object model, security and sharing, automation, and integrations.
  • Make or guide architecture decisions with clear reasoning about trade-offs.
  • Review code credibly, assist with complex problems, and lead incident response.
  • Uphold engineering practices: CI/CD, Salesforce DX, testing, code review, and release management.
  • Set goals, provide feedback, and support career development for developers and admins.
  • Build a team environment conducive to growth and bidirectional feedback.
  • Collaborate directly with sales, operations, and other customer-facing teams to understand their workflows and identify areas for Salesforce enhancement.
  • Partner with other engineering teams to coordinate integrations and offer best-practice guidance on Salesforce API usage.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, helping teams rethink processes rather than just fulfilling initial requests.
  • Contribute to the Salesforce roadmap, ensuring scalability and alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Own platform health, including security, data quality, and governance.
  • Drive adoption of automation, including AI-driven automation, to reduce cost to serve without compromising quality.
  • Represent your team's technical perspective in cross-team and leadership discussions.

Requirements

  • Proven success in a Salesforce development role, with experience owning architecture decisions.
  • Deep command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL/SOSL.
  • Confident declarative configuration skills: Flow, object modeling, validation rules, security and sharing.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and platform events.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing other developers or admins, with a genuine interest in expanding this.
  • Track record of improving sales or operations processes.
  • Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders, understanding needs, challenging assumptions, and explaining trade-offs clearly.
  • Familiarity with version control (GitHub), CI/CD, and Salesforce DX.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification, or actively pursuing one.
  • Broader tooling perspective, including experience with platforms like Braze, Zendesk, or marketing and workflow automation tools.
  • Experience in a technology company, ideally in embedded finance or fintech.
  • Experience working within and across software engineering teams, not solely within a Salesforce silo.
  • Strong interest in AI-driven automation for reducing manual work and cost to serve.
