  • Advise the business on course correction if actual costs stray from budget.
  • Work with the OVO leadership team to devise plans to converge back to budget.
  • Lead the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process, presenting financial performance, outlooks, and strategic recommendations to the C-suite and LT.
  • Support the C-suite and LT in tracking and aligning their financial outlooks against OKRs.

  • Work with the people partnering team on production and delivery of company-wide resource plans.
  • Develop 3-5 year forecasts with business leaders through annual medium-term strategic outlook processes.
  • Support business leaders in developing industry-leading team structures for best-in-class operational leverage.
  • Identify and devise opportunities for cost base improvements.
  • Present cost improvement opportunities to the finance leadership team and the OVO leadership team.
  • Own and manage the investment appraisal process, including business casing, pre-investment appraisal, and post-investment reviews.
  • Set return on investment hurdles and ensure cost governance over material projects.
  • Maintain governance over incremental spend and investment asks originating from LT.
  • Represent the finance team in regular conversations with the business.
  • Liaise with specialist areas of the finance team on matters arising from the business.
  • Update the finance leadership team on matters impacting the finance team.
  • Strive to improve business and finance processes for better insight and focus on value-adding activities.
