About the Role

This role focuses on developing portfolio solutions for a broad investor space in the fixed income market, including Corporate Bonds, Municipals, and securitized products. The position involves structuring and pricing securities, designing digital platforms for client data, and managing risk while liaising with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and price lists of OTC fixed income securities
  • Design digital platforms to provide data to clients
  • Design and deploy optimization functionality for fixed income securities
  • Liaise with clients on investment needs and market trends
  • Liaise with other traders to price and manage risk
  • Train junior team members on pricing, risk management, and reporting
  • Create and refine marketing materials
  • Write code to optimize workflow
  • Collaborate with sales force to identify new distribution avenues

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • Alternatively, Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • 3 years of experience with securitizing products, syndication processes, and trading protocols for asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities
  • 2 years of experience using PowerPoint to create marketing materials for portfolio trading
  • 2 years of experience using Excel to model and price portfolio trades
  • 2 years of experience utilizing Bloomberg to analyze bond pricing and risk
  • 2 years of experience pitching trade ideas to institutional clients based on bank research
  • 2 years of experience creating, pricing, and derisking corporate bond, Muni bond, and structured product portfolio trades
  • 2 years of experience pitching fixed income products and managing client relationships
  • Experience constructing trades to improve net investment income, asset liability matching, and capital requirements using Python linear optimization libraries
  • Experience leveraging fixed income mathematics to price large portfolios
  • Experience designing digital platforms to share sell-side analytics with the buy-side
  • Knowledge of insurance capital requirements for North America, Bermuda, and UK jurisdictions
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
