About the Role

As a Hospitality Assistant (part time / 20h per week) at Verōnika, you are a vital connector between guests and their experience — a versatile team member supporting the seamless flow of front-of-house operations. You will collaborate closely with the host, server, bar, and management teams to deliver exceptional service at every point of contact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, polished welcome and gracious farewell to all members and guests.
  • Assist with greeting, guiding, and seating guests in collaboration with the Host team.
  • Run food and beverages from kitchen and bar with elegance, accuracy, and care.
  • Support servers by anticipating guest needs, refilling water, clearing dishes, and resetting tables with speed and attention to detail.
  • Maintain the flow of the floor by staying attuned to table turnover, pacing, and service rhythm.
  • Ensure all menus, table settings, and guest-facing materials are impeccably maintained.
  • Communicate guest needs and special requests to the appropriate team members in real time.
  • Keep all FOH areas tidy and service-ready, performing side duties and checklists as needed.
  • Participate in team briefings, service reviews, and ongoing training sessions.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic representative of Verōnika and Fotografiska, engaging guests in our story and offerings when appropriate.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a hospitality, runner, or service assistant role; fine dining or cultural destination experience preferred.
  • Poise, professionalism, and a genuine desire to deliver heartfelt service.
  • Comfort working within a dynamic, high-volume, guest-focused environment.
  • Menu knowledge and ability to present dishes in English and German
  • Minimum a few basic phrases in German to great and welcome our guests
  • Confidence navigating guest interactions in English; German and additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency with reservation platforms such as 7Rooms or TheFork is a plus.
  • Physical stamina to stand and move throughout long shift.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to supporting colleagues across roles.
