About the Role

The Concierge is the initial point of contact for potential residents, families, vendors, and the community, serving as the first impression of the community. This role is responsible for professionalism, politeness, and ensuring a pleasant guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a professional personal presentation.
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Answers the phone within 3 rings and determines the nature of the call to relay information or route appropriately.
  • Takes detailed messages with name, date, time, and return phone number.
  • Ensures team members receive their phone messages promptly.
  • Maintains knowledge of who is available to receive an inquiry or host a tour.
  • Maintains security by following procedures and monitoring visitor sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean reception, lobby, and Welcome Room areas.
  • Receives and sorts mail for the Leadership Team.
  • Maintains the yearly transportation book for resident's doctor appointments.
  • Communicates with the Driver at least 24 hours in advance regarding resident appointment dates and times.
  • Reports all accidents and incidents to the supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of residents’ personal care information.
  • Honors the residents’ personal and property rights.
  • Performs other related essential duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times.

Skills

  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Effective communication with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Warm, friendly, and caring communication style.
  • Passion for working with and around senior citizens.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

  • Part-time
  • Set schedule, Monday- Friday 4pm to 8pm, or Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm with a 1 hour break

Experience Level

  • Two (2) years’ Concierge experience in a customer service-oriented industry

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED
