About the Role

As a Project Officer, you will support an innovative, cross-departmental pilot programme focused on mediation support, policy influencing, and organisational development. You will play a key role in the implementation and documentation of programme activities while working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of programme activities including meetings, events, workshops, and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure efficient programme administration by supporting procurement, contracting, and financial processes in compliance with organisational policies.
  • Maintain effective programme documentation and knowledge management systems.
  • Support internal reporting and communication by preparing meeting minutes, updates, presentations, and background briefings.
  • Support organisational learning and reflection on peacebuilding and equitable partnerships by monitoring sector debates and facilitating knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • First relevant professional experience in project cycle management and administrative support.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ideally internship or work-related experience in peacebuilding, mediation, civil society, or international cooperation in conflict-affected contexts.
  • Experience working with locally led peacebuilding or civil society organisations in a Global South context is highly desirable.
  • Additional languages relevant to the organisation's work are an asset.

Skills

  • Strong writing and synthesis skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent intercultural, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with additional software systems, data management, or AI tools.
