About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to gain initial work experience in an internationally active human rights organization. The focus will be on supporting the event management department, with opportunities to contribute to internal and cross-team projects and learn about political discussions on human rights issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support subject matter experts in preparing, conducting, and following up on internal events for approximately 50 to 500 people, including the annual general meeting and member conferences.
  • Assist in the further development of virtual and hybrid conference formats.
  • Provide support for member and guest management during (virtual) events.
  • Create information and instructions for the membership.
  • Maintain supporter data and process inquiries.
  • Handle internal and external correspondence and general office organization and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in documenting work processes.
  • Support the internal communications department.

Requirements

  • Political interest in human rights issues and working in a large member organization.
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite and willingness to learn internal systems (e.g., Confluence).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with an enjoyment of discovering background structures and contexts.
  • Conscientious, independent, and structured work style, with a willingness to commit, learn, and take initiative.
  • Ability to work well in a team, enjoy interacting with people, and possess a high level of service orientation.
  • Good English language skills and very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Helpfulness, absolute reliability, and trustworthy handling of sensitive information and data.
