About the Role

As a Business AI Designer, you will help accelerate the development of AI-enabled solutions by combining business understanding, AI product thinking, and structured delivery methods. You will work on high-impact use cases, initially within the Risk domain, and help build a scalable approach.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into structured AI and agentic coding use cases, initially mainly for the Risk domain.
  • Design AI-enabled solution concepts and prototypes that help reduce time to market and improve structured delivery.
  • Apply agentic coding methodologies and AI-assisted development capabilities to support prototyping, documentation and solution design.
  • Contribute to a scalable platform approach by identifying reusable patterns, agent configurations and domain-agnostic components.
  • Work with technical colleagues to connect business requirements with platform architecture, GCP Vista, repositories and delivery standards.
  • Use Azure DevOps, repositories and GitHub Copilot as part of the delivery workflow, with human-in-the-loop validation of AI-generated output.
  • Guide business and technical stakeholders from idea or requirement towards a validated AI-enabled prototype.
  • Help shape new ways of working for agentic product development within ING.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD level in Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced ability to translate complex business problems into AI-enabled product concepts, agentic workflows and scalable solution designs.
  • Strong academic and practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence, including LLMs, agentic systems, AI-assisted development and human-in-the-loop validation.
  • Graduate-level capability to connect business architecture, platform thinking, product development and technical delivery in a regulated organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills to structure ambiguous requirements, assess solution feasibility and identify reusable patterns across domains.
  • Ability to work with, or rapidly master, tools and environments such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Copilot, repositories, GCP Vista and relevant AI coding tools.
  • Proven hands-on experience applying AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate software engineering, technical documentation and solution design activities, including the critical evaluation, validation and optimisation of AI-generated outputs in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain advanced AI and platform concepts in clear business language.
