About the Role
The ER Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing delegated activities allowed for unlicensed personnel according to New York State regulations and hospital policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Perform direct care activities delegated to unlicensed personnel under the New York State Practice Act, regulations, hospital policies, and standards met by Nursing Services.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
- Ability to work outside normal working hours as volume demands.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
