About the Role

We are seeking Commis Chefs and Cooks to join the team for the reopening of Tayim's kitchen. This role involves preparing and presenting dishes, maintaining kitchen organization and hygiene, and supporting senior chefs during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistent, high standard during service, across your assigned section.
• Following recipes, portioning and plating guides to keep quality and consistency across every service.
• Setting up and breaking down your section, keeping prep, storage and workstations clean and organised.
• Supporting senior chefs during peak periods and building your skills across different sections as you grow.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and stock rotation throughout the kitchen.
• Working closely with the front of house team to keep service running smoothly and on time.
• Pitching in wherever the kitchen needs a hand during a busy service.

Requirements

• Some kitchen experience as a Commis Chef, Cook or in a similar section role.
• A strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
• A calm, organised approach to fast-paced service and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, or a willingness to build this on the job.
• A genuine interest in hospitality and in being part of a hotel's opening team.
• Ambition to keep developing your skills and progress through the kitchen over time.
