About the Role

As a Tender Engineering Specialist – High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) & Alternating Current (AC) Systems at GE Vernova, you will translate complex customer requirements into competitive, technically sound proposals for significant power transmission projects in Central Europe, shaping the company's bids and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review technical proposals for HVDC converter station projects, including Control & Protection, SCADA, telecommunications, and auxiliary systems.
  • Contribute to AC Substation (AIS/GIS) tender activities across Central Europe.
  • Analyze customer specifications, define engineering scope, deliverables, interfaces, assumptions, and technical risks.
  • Support technical risk reviews and tender gate reviews.
  • Define equipment and documents required to meet customer needs, including control and protection cubicles, auxiliary service systems, and cabling.
  • Establish technical specifications for internal and external sourced equipment for RFQ.
  • Participate in customer meetings and technical clarification discussions.
  • Prepare and execute handovers to execution departments.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Proven experience in power transmission, substations, HVDC, FACTS, or renewable grid integration projects.
  • Working knowledge of secondary engineering systems, including control and protection, SCADA and communications, auxiliary AC/DC systems, and interface management.
  • Experience in technical proposal development, project engineering, and system design.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations including control and protection systems, LV systems, and digital and conventional control architectures.
  • Familiarity with different telecom interfaces across relevant technologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools and secondary design realization software.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
