About the Role
The Commercial Manager will drive revenue performance by managing and monetizing lender partnerships. This cross-functional role requires problem-solving, idea generation, and collaboration to capitalize on commercial opportunities. You will act as the voice of the partner, provide market expertise, and utilize strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a proactive, consultative approach. This role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment, driving business performance and helping millions make better financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Run the commercial function for the AU business and ensure we meet the budget plan for the year
- Shape and execute commercial strategy to help ClearScore maintain competitiveness and capture new revenue opportunities
- Be accountable for all performance metrics against loans partnerships and increasing ClearScore’s Share of Wallet
- Negotiate new and existing commercial agreements and manage contractual paperwork
- Work closely with the product team and partners on continuous optimization of the product and conversion funnel
- Manage commercial relationships with existing partners, and negotiate deals with new partners
- Dive deep into platform data to derive key business and new initiative insights, produce reports, spot trends, and convert them into actions
- Be responsible for the performance and day-to-day management of 2 commercial executive members
Requirements
- At least 7+ years of work experience with a good track record
- Previous experience in a commercial role within the financial services is desirable but not mandatory
- Passion and enthusiasm for the problems we are solving
- Ability to use creativity and initiative in pursuit of goals
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ready to take on a lot of responsibility quickly
- Data-driven decision making and a strong analytical mind-set
- Ability to interpret insights, identify trends or spot anomalies and define the drivers to translate them into action
- Previous work experience in Management Consulting is interesting
- Previous work experience in a relationship focused client-facing environment such as partner / account management is interesting
- Previous work experience in a consumer finance, fintech or B2B tech company is interesting
