About the Role
This role involves working across marking and publishing within the Educational Resources team. The successful candidate will coordinate internal and external markers and marking administration for year-round ICAEW, ACCA and CIMA exams. You will also collaborate with authors and subject managers to create learning materials and the LMS team to build courses on our learning management system.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of marking functions to ensure timely, well-marked scripts.
- Book markers and provide training support to new markers.
- Set up exam groups and manage marking schedules.
- Liaise with operations and client teams.
- Maintain freelancer contractual information and contact details.
- Cover the Helpdesk and adhere to response time SLAs.
- Ensure marking policies are adhered to across the organisation.
- Manage the Marking inbox, actioning and responding to emails.
- Take ownership of the production of printed and online learning materials.
- Build online courses using a learning management system.
- Act as production coordinator during content updates, supporting authors and recorders.
- Ensure production deadlines are met.
- Perform quality assurance on materials and courses.
- Coordinate the work of authors, recorders, and the external typesetting company.
- Collaborate with the LMS team during update cycles and process agreements.
- Support the creation and implementation of production guidance.
- Support innovation and the development of new processes.
- Process updates and build courses in the online system, Totara.
- Work with printers to ensure correct products are available for print within timeframes.
- Support the development and implementation of organisational strategy.
- Provide administration and logistical support to project work.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Prepare for and engage in one-to-one meetings and appraisals.
- Proactively maintain professional and personal development plans.
- Take on new work as and when required.
- Be aware of and take personal responsibility for health and safety obligations.
- Support additional work as reasonably required by management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong systems skills with ability to work within LMS systems (e.g. Totara).
- Pragmatic and solution-focused approach.
- Highly motivated and proactive.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage expectations.
- Willingness to support other duties within the Educational Resources team during busy periods.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot (Desirable).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams (Desirable).
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro (Desirable).
- Understanding of learning management systems (LMS) (Desirable).
- Experience in schedule management (Desirable).
- Background in content creation or production management (Desirable).
- Experience in the education/apprenticeships sector (Desirable).
- Understanding of the accountancy sector (Desirable).
