About the Role
As a Head Chef, you will proactively manage and support a catering team, driving financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the onsite cafe/restaurant, as well as overall hospitality and 13 meeting rooms.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, training, supporting, and developing the team to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
- Maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget.
- Ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting, and client liaison.
- Adhering to COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care.
Requirements
- Proven experience of successfully managing a team.
- Proven leadership ability with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Legal/Law Firm background is highly desirable.
- Genuine interest in customer service excellence.
- Focused on the front line.
- 2+ years experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef ready for their next step.
- Proven experience in mobilization within contract catering.
- A strong team player, highly confident and positive.
- Hospitality and events management experience.
Work Type
- 40 hours per week
- 5/7
- Predominantly Monday - Friday
- Some flexibility is required based on business needs including earlies, lates and on weekends
Experience Level
- 2+ years experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef
