About the Role
Lexington is seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter for a brand new site opening mid-September 2026. The role involves supporting chefs by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in a busy kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and well organised
- Assisting with deliveries and stock storage
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Operating the till point as required, ensuring correct procedures are used
- Ensuring that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
- Being responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts
- Contract catering, hotel or busy restaurant experience is highly desirable
