About the Role

Wellways is seeking a Support Worker to interact with and support participants with daily activities. This frontline role involves delivering a wide range of services to support participants' daily living, working closely with individuals to meet their needs and contributing to the continuous improvement of care.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a wide range of services to support participants' activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising.
  • Providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.
  • Providing Wellways support services to ensure participants are supported to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.
  • Working across Wellways teams and with various external stakeholders which include the NDIA, other disability service providers, families, and health professionals within the circle of participants.

Requirements

  • Must have full driver's license and have access to their own vehicle.
  • Preferred applicants with flexible availability and willingness to do sleepover shifts/work weekends/early morning shifts/broken shifts.
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old].
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.

Education Level

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience.

Salary/Compensations

  • $46.70 p/hr (SCHADS - Level 2.2 B) + Super + Salary packaging benefits up to $15,899 per annum.
  • Meal and Entertainment allowance via salary packaging up to $2,650 per annum.
