About the Role
As an AI Business Engagement Lead at EDF, you will serve as the business-facing gateway to the AI and Automation Centre of Excellence. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to identify, assess, shape, and advance AI opportunities, transforming initial concepts into actionable plans that generate value and support the company's transition towards An Electric Britain.
Responsibilities
- Provide business engagement and advisory support to teams exploring AI opportunities and use cases.
- Shape early-stage demand into clear problem statements, value hypotheses, and practical next steps.
- Guide stakeholders to the appropriate AI and Automation Centre of Excellence services, expertise, governance, and support routes.
- Coordinate specialist input to ensure opportunities are progressed consistently and effectively.
- Challenge and refine AI opportunities, helping teams determine if AI is the optimal solution or if alternative approaches may yield better outcomes.
- Capture insights, trends, and recurring demand themes to enhance AI services, guidance, and adoption across EDF.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business engagement, business analysis, advisory, transformation, change, digital, or technology roles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders.
- Experience translating ambiguous business needs into structured problem statements, use cases, roadmaps, prioritized opportunities, and actionable next steps, including assessing value, readiness, and delivery considerations.
- Practical understanding of AI capabilities, data, platforms, integration, security, Responsible AI, business readiness, and technology delivery considerations.
- Experience operating within governance frameworks, service models, or operating models with defined routing and escalation processes.
- Experience facilitating workshops, shaping discussions, and coordinating actions across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear summaries, recommendations, and decision support materials.
- Experience identifying patterns, recurring demand, and opportunities for improvement across portfolios, programs, or business initiatives.
- Confidence to constructively challenge AI ideas, ask pertinent questions, and guide stakeholders toward the most appropriate solution, including non-AI routes where they may deliver better outcomes.
