About the Role

As the responsible Project Manager, you will oversee the revitalization of an inner-city quarter in Berlin-Tiergarten, guiding it through all essential project phases and significantly shaping its development. This includes the renovation and modernization of a residential high-rise, its technical expansion, the revitalization of office buildings, and the modernization of an underground parking garage. You will have holistic project responsibility, representing the client's interests from planning to realization, including technical and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities

Holistic project responsibility for the construction project, representing the client's interests in all project phases.
Creation, updating, and control of project budgets, actively tracking deadlines, costs, and quality.
Selection, management, and monitoring of external project teams, including leading planners, consultants, and executing companies.
Management of project-related contracts and change orders.
Stakeholder management, including active communication, information, and coordination with internal and external project participants.
Conducting variance analyses and reporting to the client and management.
Representing the client's interests from planning to realization, including technical and commercial decision-making.
Close collaboration with the client's project development and asset management teams.
Taking operational responsibility and working hands-on when necessary.

Requirements

Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable technical qualification.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project management/control of demanding structural engineering projects, including experience with complex existing building measures.
Strong technical understanding in structural engineering (including MEP and fire protection), as well as experience in civil engineering (excavations and shoring).
Initial experience with building certifications (LEED, DGNB) and project-related energy subsidies (BAFA, KfW).
Sound knowledge of relevant technical and construction contract regulations such as HOAI and VOB, as well as AHO Booklet 9.
High sense of responsibility and a proactive approach to thinking and working.
Diplomatic and assertive personality with a professional and confident demeanor.
Proficient in MS Office applications and MS Project.
Fluent German language skills (C2 level) in speaking and writing.
Proven experience in independently managing comparable projects.
Comfortable navigating both technical and commercial issues.
