About the Role

Wispr is building the first voice interface for daily use, with a focus on protecting user data and building strong defenses against attacks and breaches. This role involves owning product security end-to-end, architecting defenses, and integrating security into the platform to safeguard user data as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Own product security end to end, prioritizing threats and architecting defenses.
  • Get into new surfaces early, participating in design reviews where the design is still changing.
  • Build security into the platform so the safe path is the easy one.
  • Improve the security practices of the entire team without becoming a bottleneck.

Requirements

  • Enjoy decompiling code and finding vulnerabilities.
  • Have strong opinions about tradeoffs and be pragmatic about which battles matter.
  • Care as much about the user journey as the threat model.
  • Naturally become the security person even though nobody asked you to.
