Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy custom in-house web applications hosted on AWS.
- Develop AI and data-driven fraud detection platforms.
- Create integrations with enterprise and SaaS platforms.
- Build high-volume, real-time customer services.
- Design, build, and enhance applications and platforms that help address emerging threats.
- Contribute to technologies that support scam detection, digital intrusion alerts, and fraud prevention.
- Influence engineering excellence across Fraud Technology.
- Build modern cloud-native applications.
- Deliver secure and resilient customer experiences.
- Help shape the future of AI-enabled fraud detection.
- Take end-to-end ownership of solutions.
- Mentor and uplift other engineers.
- Engage in Agile delivery environments.
- Pursue continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, SQL, scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and Snowflake data pipeline development and integration.
- Strong hands-on development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js and Python.
- Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
- AWS cloud experience.
- Docker and containerised application development.
- SQL experience including PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD tooling including GitHub Actions and TeamCity.
- A security-first engineering mindset.
- Experience with automated testing practices.
- API and integration testing experience.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk or Observe.
- Production monitoring and operational support experience.
- Embrace AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and similar developer productivity tools.
