About the Role
The Banker is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets and providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. The VP Banker also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients, acting as a strategic advisor by formulating investment strategies and raising capital.
Responsibilities
- Assume significant levels of responsibility for project and transaction execution, new business development, and firm growth.
- Work closely with clients on financing transactions, guiding them through the capital raising process, including leading due diligence, drafting sessions, and preparing for offerings.
- Collaborate with clients, senior team members, and outside advisors on M&A and special situation transactions.
- Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor/management presentations.
- Oversee work performed by analysts and associates assigned to projects.
Requirements
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Banking.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business, its related products, pertinent regulations, and lending/credit approval processes.
- Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance, and securities products.
- Candidates must be aware that this is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
- Assessment for this role will be against Fit and Proper requirements through interviews, self-disclosures, criminal record checks, reference checks, credit checks, and other background screening.
