About the Role

ALTEN is a leading development service provider focused on shaping the future of partners, employees, and society through innovation in various engineering and IT sectors.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of vehicles in the rail sector and ensuring smooth customer operations.
• Performing functional checks and tests on rail vehicles and electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Analyzing faults using circuit diagrams and functional plans, independently resolving issues, and optimizing processes on-site.
• Collaborating closely with planning, engineering, production, quality, and logistics, and supporting technical coordination.
• Assisting with acceptances and the creation and maintenance of protocols, documentation, and error lists.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and EHS regulations and working under demanding conditions (e.g., confined spaces, heights, outdoor work).

Requirements

• Completed training in electrical engineering, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in commissioning, plant construction, or vehicle construction, ideally in the rail sector.
• Proficiency in handling circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and their interaction.
• Ability to independently analyze, operate, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Openness to shift work.
• Good German language skills.
