About the Role

The Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM is a leading research institute in the field of assembly and interconnection technology for microelectronic systems. We are seeking a dedicated employee for the Facility Management department, Technical Services group, to manage the development, operation, and monitoring of the infrastructure on the premises used by Fraunhofer IZM.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization and planning of small construction projects for the integration of new research infrastructure, including cost estimation.
• Preparation of specifications, tenders, awards, acceptances, and accounting, adhering to legal requirements, funder guidelines, and procurement regulations.
• Further development and operation of building technology and building management systems, focusing on operational safety, work safety, quality, and energy management.
• Independent execution and organization of inspection and maintenance of safety-relevant systems.
• Organization and further development of work safety on the premises used by Fraunhofer IZM, in compliance with applicable legal regulations.
• Independent development of risk assessments, operating instructions, and conducting training for employees and external companies.
• Coordination of hazardous material and waste handling, and continuous monitoring of compliance with required measures.
