About the Role
Join the Brands engineering team within Adobe Cloud Platform and Collaboration (ACPC). We're building Brands as a platform, not a feature: a shared set of services and interfaces that any Adobe surface or any third-party AI agent can use to bring brand intelligence into their product.
Responsibilities
- Architect solutions that let new surfaces consume Brands capabilities without requiring custom integration work.
- Resolve system problems of high complexity and lead development reviews.
- Drive AI-first architecture decisions, including data structuring for LLM consumption and publishing tools/skills for agentic workflows.
- Align technical direction across multiple Adobe surfaces and third-party integration partners on cross-surface initiatives.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the Brands platform roadmap.
- Mentor engineers on design, programming, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Provide technical recommendations to senior leadership and influence hiring decisions.
- Proactively identify platform-level gaps in requirements and propose cross-surface solutions.
- Apply secure programming practices and drive performance optimization across shared services.
- Own full system designs and architectural decisions with organization-wide impact.
- Define APIs and service contracts consumed by many downstream teams or products.
- Establish engineering standards (code quality, testing, DevOps) for adoption by other engineers.
- Resolve highly complex, ambiguous technical problems with minimal guidance.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction without formal management authority.
- Communicate technical trade-offs to senior and executive team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/work experience.
- 10+ years of full stack development experience.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL.
- Experience with AI/LLM-integrated systems (tool-calling, MCP or similar agent-tool protocols, or building services for AI agent consumption).
- Proficient using AI tools and concepts to enhance productivity.
- Experienced guiding others in effective AI-assisted development.
- Demonstrated ability to establish engineering standards that other engineers adopt.
- Strong track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without formal management authority.
- Excellent communication skills.
