About the Role
This role provides vital administrative and operational support across the organization, acting as a key liaison with People & Culture, Finance, and IT. Responsibilities include coordinating office operations, improving internal processes, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and fostering a high-performing workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including expense reconciliation, correspondence preparation, document and filing management, travel coordination, and other executive administration activities.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of strategic projects and key events, while preparing reports, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Tennis NSW office, overseeing support services, contractor relationships, fleet management, and ensuring a professional, efficient, and values-driven workplace environment.
- Administer business services finances, including invoicing, payments, and contract management, while partnering with Tennis Australia shared services teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhanced operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing by adhering to organisational OH&S policies and procedures, participating in safety training and return-to-work programs, and proactively reporting hazards, incidents, and workplace risks.
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment by taking responsibility for personal and team safety, seeking guidance on new procedures, and supporting organisational compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Requirements
- Strong office management background, including stakeholder coordination, contractor management, process improvement, and supporting a positive workplace culture.
- Advanced administrative professional with strong proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and calendar management.
- Experienced in coordinating complex schedules, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Skilled in professional business writing, stakeholder communication, finance and procurement administration, and prioritising competing demands while exercising sound judgement.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, integrity, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while managing relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with a strong interest in sporting and event environments, a positive "can-do" attitude, and the flexibility to support events, tournaments, meetings, and functions as required.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis NSW.
