About the Role

Provectus is a Premier AWS partner and an Anthropic Strategic Partner focused on applied AI, helping enterprises achieve measurable business outcomes with AI solutions. We embed engineers and leaders as Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) and Forward Deployed Executives (FDX) within client operations to understand, build, and own the outcomes of bespoke applications and managed services. Our work centers on Financial Services & Insurance and Healthcare & Life Sciences, deploying pre-built AI Blueprints to rebuild critical business processes. You will do the customer's job before automating it, learning constraints from the inside before rebuilding functions from first principles. This role is for engineers who have led before and want to stay hands-on while owning the outcome, often being the most senior technical person and still shipping code.

Responsibilities

Take the operator's seat for weeks, performing tasks like claims processing, underwriting, or revenue-cycle work before writing code.
Learn business domains quickly to engage with subject matter experts.
Ship GenAI/LLM systems to production, handling post-prototype challenges.
Build or own evaluation suites for non-deterministic systems.
Deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS, including containers, IaC, and CI/CD.
Engage in redesign conversations with business unit heads and scoping conversations with CTOs.
Manage ambiguity and take ownership of underspecified engagements.
Apply strong AI/ML foundations to reason about model failure modes.
Utilize strong hands-on production experience with Claude Code/Cowork.
Collaborate within small, senior teams alongside Principal Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers.
Contribute to building tooling and frameworks for the AI delivery practice.

Requirements

8+ years of software development experience, with significant production code accountability.
Willingness to spend weeks performing operational tasks before coding.
Demonstrated ability to become conversant in unfamiliar business functions quickly.
Experience shipping GenAI/LLM systems to production.
Experience building or owning evaluation suites for non-deterministic systems.
Strong engineering fundamentals, with productivity in unfamiliar codebases or languages.
Python and/or TypeScript proficiency.
Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS (GCP/Azure a plus), including containers, Kubernetes/ECS, IaC, CI/CD.
Credibility with senior stakeholders.
Comfort with ambiguity and ownership.
Solid AI/ML foundations.
Strong hands-on production experience with Claude Code/Cowork.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
