About the Role
Join Western Sydney University to lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable generative and agentic AI solutions. Working within the Data Office, you will translate strategic priorities into technical solutions that enhance student success, research impact, and staff productivity while maintaining a people-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for generative and agentic AI solutions.
- Translate strategic and operational priorities into secure, scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across curriculum, research, and operations to identify high-value AI use cases.
- Contribute to the AI Use Case Portfolio, including assessment, design, estimation, and prototyping.
- Lead technical enablement across enterprise AI platforms, including Microsoft 365, Copilot, and cloud services.
- Embed responsible AI, privacy, cyber security, and data governance into technical delivery.
- Build reusable technical patterns, standards, and guidance for AI adoption.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in AI, data science, computer science, software engineering, IT, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying AI, automation, or machine learning solutions in complex organizations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting capability.
- Sound knowledge of responsible AI, privacy, cyber security, and data governance.
- Evidence of full-time working rights in Australia.
