  • Working with the Tech Lead and UX Lead to help create the overall solution design, as well as break it down into smaller portions of roadmap and sprint compatible deliveries.
  • Ensuring the delivery team understands the problem/opportunity domain, needs are elicited and broken down into meaningful and valuable backlog items and communicate them to the team.
  • Working with the product engineering team to define clear time estimates (developers, testers, tech lead, and scrum master).
  • Assisting the PM in identifying and managing interdependencies with other portfolios or squads.
  • Facilitating workshops, as well as discovery and analysis sessions.
  • Actively contributing to the development and adoption of effective product and business analysis practices, including high-quality analysis and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a successful track record working in a variety of enterprise projects, in complex environments.
  • Ideally have worked in a Technical Analyst position, in FinTech or with a Tier 1 or 2 ERP vendor, or across multiple business areas in Local Government.
  • Outstanding writing and documentation skills – accuracy, brevity, and clarity, applied to business, product, and technical domains.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development technologies, practices, and methodologies in an Agile environment.
  • Strong information architecture expertise or an understanding of how knowledge links together as a cohesive system.
  • Ability to understand and model complex concepts and solve complex problems with consideration to business impact.
  • Ability to break down, analyze, and define solutions for large, poorly specified problems.
