About the Role

Teachers Now is seeking reliable and motivated Substitute Teachers to support K–12 schools in the Austin area. This role involves maintaining classroom consistency, supporting student learning, and making a positive impact when regular teachers are absent.

Responsibilities

• Follow classroom lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
• Manage student behavior and encourage participation
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions
• Take attendance and communicate concerns to school staff
• Support school staff in maintaining learning continuity

Requirements

• 60+ college credit hours or Associate’s degree
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work with students in a K–12 setting
• Must pass required background check and fingerprinting
