About the Role

As our Delivery Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in connecting product vision with technical excellence, leading a team of developers to deliver reliable, secure and impactful digital solutions that support Mission Australia's services across the country. Working within our Enterprise Digital and Data Enablement function, you will bring together delivery leadership, engineering expertise and people leadership to ensure digital products are planned effectively, delivered with confidence and supported long after they go live.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digital solutions, ensuring scope, quality, risk and timelines are effectively managed.
  • Translate product priorities into achievable delivery plans aligned to team capacity and organisational objectives.
  • Monitor progress, manage dependencies and proactively address delivery risks and challenges.
  • Provide clear and transparent reporting on delivery performance, milestones and confidence levels.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing engineering team through values-based leadership.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in technical design, development and problem solving across multiple technologies.
  • Champion engineering excellence through quality standards, testing, peer review and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product teams, stakeholders and vendors to deliver sustainable, business-focused outcomes.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading software delivery teams in a hands-on engineering leadership role.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring and supporting developers to achieve strong delivery outcomes.
  • Strong capability delivering solutions within Microsoft-centric environments including Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience working within complex, integrated enterprise environments with multiple dependencies.
  • Strong delivery planning, prioritisation, risk management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to balance operational demands, incident response and long-term engineering quality.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
