About the Role

This position will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, optimizing processes, and delivering insights that shape business decisions within Columbia Sportswear Company's Finance & Accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with US/Local GAAP and reporting schedule.
• Oversee monthly invoice processing and expense reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely close.
• Manage Direct AP matching process (merchandise related invoices, purchase orders and goods receipt).
• Lead expense accrual processes ensuring accurate period-end recognition.
• Support cash management activities and payment executions.
• Day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Continuously improve accounting workflows and systems for greater efficiency.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or above.
• 3-5 years or more experience in accounting.
• Experience with SAP and Rakuraku Seisan is a plus.
• Innovative, flexible, and excellent interpersonal skill.
• Knowledge and experience of accounting principles and Excel.
• Good communication skills in both Japanese and English.
