About the Role

Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking a passionate Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage to coordinate and manage daily F&B operations across the hotel, conferencing, and the iconic venue Pumphouse. The role involves leading by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing feedback, resolving concerns, and enhancing service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of all Food & Beverage operations through the hotel and Pumphouse.
• Assist with controlling departmental costs by assisting with rostering, stock control, ordering, inventory management and minimising wastage.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Ensure brand standards, service procedures and presentation standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain high food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hotel Food & Beverage operations.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Flexible to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
