About the Role

The Creative Bureaucracy Festival is the world's largest event for administrative innovation, bringing together global leaders to discuss creative solutions in the public sector. This role involves transforming the festival's digital presence into a leading international platform for administrative reform and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Transform the website, newsletter, and social media channels into a leading international platform for administrative innovation.
  • Plan and manage the editorial direction of communication channels to increase reach, visibility, and relevance.
  • Conceptualize and produce content from initial idea to publication.
  • Create editorial plans and coordinate content production for the annual festival and year-round platform.
  • Track international trends in administrative innovation and contribute to global discourse.
  • Acquire international partners and authors for high-quality contributions.
  • Collaborate on international communication campaigns and develop new formats for global audiences.
  • Manage collaboration with agencies, freelancers, and external partners.
  • Support festival communication, including press work, media relations, and film/podcast production.
  • Analyze communication metrics and develop data-driven optimization strategies.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or training in communication, media studies, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Relevant professional experience in content production and communication, ideally 5+ years.
  • Strong communication skills, structured working style, and ability to work independently in a team.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in strategically building social media reach and followers, with knowledge of algorithm optimization.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp/Drip), and AI in social media.
  • Interest in global challenges regarding democracy, politics, and public administration.
  • Initial experience in event execution and campaign planning.
  • Initial experience working with high-profile authors and publishers, including editorial and design production of books.
