About the Role

HRPA is seeking a creative and digitally savvy Social Media and Advertising Specialist to join their Marketing & Growth team. This role will focus on expanding HRPA's reach, strengthening its online community, and creating impactful campaigns for engagement, member acquisition, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media content strategy, content pillars, and publishing calendar across multiple platforms.
  • Create compelling organic content, including copy, graphics, and short-form video, tailored for each platform.
  • Manage social communities by monitoring conversations, responding to followers, and engaging proactively.
  • Capture and share authentic, real-time content from HRPA conferences, events, and chapter activities.
  • Plan, build, and manage paid social and digital advertising campaigns across various platforms.
  • Manage advertising budgets, utilizing testing, targeting, and performance data to optimize campaigns.
  • Monitor reviews, brand mentions, and conversations across platforms, coordinating responses and escalating issues.
  • Track social media and advertising performance, translate data into actionable insights, and provide regular reports.
  • Collaborate with design, content, email, and other Marketing & Growth teams to ensure campaign consistency.

Requirements

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, digital advertising, or a related marketing role.
  • Hands-on experience managing organic social media accounts and online communities for a brand or organization.
  • Experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid social or digital advertising campaigns.
  • Experience reporting on engagement, reach, conversions, and other performance measures.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads).
  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities.
  • Basic graphic design and short-form video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut).
  • Ability to generate creative ideas and use performance data for improvement.
  • Comfortable managing multiple content calendars, campaigns, and deadlines.
  • Proactive and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team.
  • Comfortable attending and capturing content at live events.
  • Occasional travel to association and chapter activities.
  • Flexibility to support events outside regular business hours.
