About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef – Events to lead our Events Kitchen Brigade and deliver exceptional culinary experiences across a diverse range of functions and events. Reporting to the Culinary Director, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Events Kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, operational excellence, financial performance and compliance with food safety and legislative standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will inspire and develop your team while maintaining the highest standards of food production and service execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Events Kitchen team.
• Deliver exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across all events.
• Manage kitchen operations, rostering, stock control and budgets.
• Drive food safety, compliance and operational standards.
• Collaborate with the Culinary Director and key stakeholders to execute successful events.
• Create memorable guest experiences through innovation and culinary excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or similar leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing food costs, labour and inventory.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• A commitment to quality, consistency and exceptional customer experiences.
• The ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic events environment.
