About the Role

The Finance Officer – Home Care plays a key role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of Home Care Services. This position is responsible for client billing, government claiming, reconciliations, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and Aged Care standards. This role offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based work from our Wahroonga Corporate Office with flexible work-from-home arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client billing, invoicing and financial administration processes
  • Support Support at Home (SAH), DVA, CHSP and DEX claiming and reporting requirements
  • Process direct debits, client statements and account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account enquiries
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with reporting, audits and compliance activities
  • Support payroll-related finance processes as required
  • Provide responsive and professional support to clients, families and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and finance process efficiencies

Requirements

  • Current Australian work rights
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Willingness to travel if required

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience with billing, invoicing, reconciliations or accounts processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative team

  • Sound judgement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work with integrity
  • Experience within the Aged Care, Home Care or Community Services sector (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Aged Care funding and claiming processes (Desirable)
  • Experience using finance or client management systems such as Epicor and AlayaCare (Preferred)
