About the Role

You’ll have the opportunity to stretch yourself as you take on projects from start to finish, ensuring a successful collaboration and outcome for everyone involved. In this role, you'll provide specialist civil and structural engineering expertise across Sydney Metro West, acting as the key engineering advisor across multiple stations. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll work across a broad range of complex engineering challenges, ensuring technical outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Providing civil and structural engineering leadership across station and rail infrastructure packages
  • Reviewing and advising on design, construction methodologies, staging and technical solutions
  • Working closely with package leads, implementation teams and major contractors to resolve complex engineering issues
  • Supporting delivery through design, construction, testing and commissioning phases of the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified engineer with more than 10 years' experience delivering major rail, station or complex transport infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in civil and structural engineering
  • Developed career in large, multidisciplinary project environments
  • Comfortable navigating both design and construction challenges while providing practical, solution-focused advice
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with contractors, designers and project delivery teams, ideally within major rail or station environments
  • Ability to build credibility with stakeholders, influence outcomes and operate effectively without direct supervision
  • Adaptable and proactive, thriving in complex project environments
  • Comfortable moving between priorities as project needs evolve across multiple work fronts
