About the Role
This is a high-velocity, fast-paced role dedicated to supporting a diverse and sophisticated technology portfolio within Citi Commercial Bank (CCB). The role offers accelerated career development, exceptional client-facing exposure, and a front-row seat to the technology sector, partnering with visionary founders, entrepreneurs, and corporate C-suite executives.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in day-to-day client relations, establishing trusted-partner status with founders, CEOs, CFOs, and treasury teams.
- Collaborate with Citi’s Corporate Advisory, Capital Markets, and Product specialist teams to support clients through major corporate milestones, IPOs, DCM, ECM, and strategic M&A.
- Manage credit, lending, and operational banking needs for a diverse portfolio spanning dynamic verticals (SaaS, FinTech, AI, Cyber) and traditional technology sectors (IT Services, Telecoms, Hardware).
- Support senior bankers in origination efforts, developing pitch presentations, and structuring complex corporate finance packages, including debt, growth capital, and syndicated facilities.
- Conduct deep-dive credit and financial analysis, evaluating high-growth tech business models using key sector metrics alongside traditional corporate metrics.
- Coordinate the end-to-end execution of cross-border lending, structured cash management, treasury, trade finance, and bespoke foreign exchange solutions.
- Act as the bridge to Citi’s global network, helping Australian tech companies scale seamlessly into international markets.
- Stay ahead of technology trends, represent Citi at industry events, and build strong relationships within the local tech and finance communities.
Requirements
- 3-8 years of experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, credit, finance, consulting or a related field.
- Strong financial analysis and credit skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- High levels of personal drive, resilience and accountability.
