About the Role
Anglicare Sydney is launching Carlingford House, a modern 74-room Residential Care Home opening in 2026. We are assembling an exceptional team to help shape the culture, standards, and resident experience of this new home from the very beginning. Your work will play a vital role in creating a warm, supportive environment where older Australians feel safe, valued, and connected. As a Carer, you will make a difference that enriches lives and strengthens communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
- Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.
Requirements
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
- All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
- A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- An understanding of the importance of maintaining residents’ dignity and independence.
- Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values.
